The story so far
I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil — mostly cats, but eventually people too. My work is rooted in the everyday: the creak of a wooden chair, the way afternoon light cuts across a kitchen table, the feeling of a good cup of tea shared with someone you love.
I'm self-taught — no formal school, just years of drawing, making mistakes, and drawing again. I live in Wrocław, a city whose light and detail I'm still discovering. The colourful facades, the bridges, the people going about their day — it all ends up in my work eventually.
CarmelaCat Studio is the home for everything I make. The name comes from a particularly dramatic orange cat who used to sit outside my studio window and judge my colour choices. She was usually right.
What I make
Wall Prints
Giclée prints on archival paper, designed to be the most joyful thing in the room. Available in A4, A3 and 50×70 cm.
Children's Illustration
Picture book work and editorial illustration for children. I believe in books that kids return to for the pictures long after they've memorised the words.
Commissions
Custom portraits, family illustrations, and brand work. If you have a feeling you want turned into a picture, let's talk.
